Install the Peptype Extension

The first step is to install the Peptype browser extension. The documentation says players should visit the official Peptype website, click Play Peptype or Install Extension, and continue to the Chrome Web Store to download it.

After installation, the Peptype icon appears in the browser toolbar, showing the extension is ready to use. Peptype is currently supported on modern Chromium-based browsers, including Google Chrome, Brave, and Microsoft Edge. The extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store.

Launch Peptype for the First Time

On first launch, Peptype starts a short onboarding flow that creates a user profile and initializes the in-extension wallet. The documentation describes this as the standard first-time setup before the dashboard and game features become available.

This makes onboarding fast and direct, with the extension itself acting as the main entry point into the ecosystem.

Choose a Login Method

The official onboarding flow supports three login options:

• Login with X
• Login with Google
• Login with MetaMask

After selecting a login method, the authorization flow opens, and once access is approved, it returns to the extension so profile creation can continue.

Complete Email Verification

To finish setup, the user must complete email verification. The documentation states that the process includes entering an email address, receiving a one-time verification code, and entering that code inside the extension.

This step is required for account security and recovery support. It is one of the main steps that allows Peptype to move from authentication into full profile setup.

Let the Extension Create Your Wallet

Once verification is complete, Peptype automatically creates an in-extension wallet. The documentation states that a new private key is generated locally, encrypted, and stored on the client side, and the wallet address is then shown for funding.

The docs also state that the wallet must be funded to interact with on-chain mechanics. After wallet creation, the profile is initialized and the dashboard becomes available.

Mint Your First Typer

After setup is complete, the next step is to mint your first Typer. The documentation explicitly states: Next step: mint your first Typer.

The Typer is the core in-game character and the starting point for progression inside the Peptype ecosystem. Minting a Typer is what turns the account from a setup state into an active gameplay state.

Start Generating Energy Through Typing

Once the extension is active and the player has an active Typer, typing begins to generate Energy. The documentation defines Energy as a core in-game resource used for progression and active gameplay. It is generated through typing activity while the extension is active.

This is the fastest way to understand the Peptype loop: stay active, type naturally, and convert browser activity into usable in-game progress.

Use Energy for Progression

The official docs state that Energy can be spent only on:

• upgrading and leveling up a Typer
• sending a Typer on raids

That means the first practical goal after starting is simple: generate Energy, then use it to begin upgrading the Typer and unlocking more progression.
